Negotiating a contract termination with Milan😢30-year-old Origi last played in April last year, scoring 3 goals in the past three years
Not long ago, Milan News Network wrote an article about the current situation of Milan striker Origi. According to previous reports, Longo, Origi hopes to receive 50% of the annual salary of the contract as severance payment and complete the termination of the contract with Milan.
Auriji, 30, has fallen into a career trough, and has scored only three goals in 58 appearances in the past three years. Origi's last official appearance was on April 21, 2024, when he played Everton for Nottingham Forest, but only played for 10 minutes. In the 23/24 season, Origi made 22 appearances at Nottingham Forest, scoring only 1 goal, and this goal was scored against a Championship team in the FA Cup.
Then in May 2024, Nottingham Forest announced that it would not buy out Origi from Milan, and Milan did not regard Origi as a member of the plan, and threw him into the U23 echelon and waited for him to be sold.
It has been a year now, and no team has provided quotations for Origi so far. His annual salary after tax of up to 4 million euros and his poor competitive performance make it difficult for a club to take over him.
After obtaining Milan's permission, Origi has been training alone away from the Milanello training base. Origi was witnessed in Rome, then Florence, and during the late August and early September he trained at the training grounds of Porta Romana, a local amateur club, accompanied by his physical coach, always keeping a low profile. Origi then went elsewhere to continue training at a minimum to wait for possible transfer calls.
Origi joined Milan as a free agent in the summer of 2022 and signed a four-year high-paying contract, which has now become a huge financial burden for Milan. Origi's contract will expire in June 2026, but he has not played football for a year and is over 30 years old. It is difficult for him to start a new chapter in his career elsewhere unless he terminates the contract early.
6 years ago, Origi scored key goals for Liverpool in the Champions League, helping the team win the championship. Those goals actually made him "get his money" until now.
In recent days, the Belgian striker has been photographed appearing at the Milan headquarters to discuss the possibility of a peaceful termination with the management. Negotiations are still in progress and no final agreement has been reached.
