Valverde: I m glad to be one of the captains of Real Madrid, this is the dream of all the kids playing football

Valverde was interviewed by Real Madrid TV after training and commented on the first few days of the new season.

He said: "It's so happy, as always. I'm proud to be able to wear this jersey again and defend this badge. Every year, I strive to win all the championships with the same enthusiasm."

How do you think of the team?

"All teammates showed their efforts during the holidays. It's always good, avoiding injuries and being in better shape at the start of the season. We're happy to start training again. We'll be targeting all the champions this year."

About preseason?

"We have to make the most of every training, whether it's morning or afternoon, to go all out. We know it's a year-round reserve, keeping us full of energy and focusing on what our coaches require."

What are you doing these weeks?

"Mainly tactical training. We practiced a lot of oppression, teamwork, passing and getting to know each other. New players also joined the team. Although we participated in a tournament during this period, we still need more time to get in. We are now polishing the close cooperation between defense and offense."

About the captain's identity?

"I am proud to wear this jersey again and be one of the captains. It's the dream of any kid who loves football. Today, I can show and enjoy the role and share this joy with my family. Sometimes it's hard to believe that I'm one of the captains and core characters of this team, but it's important to cherish every moment as if it was the last moment."
