Recently, 76ers star Embiid accepted an exclusive interview with ESPN.
Speaking of the MVP award, Embiid said: "If you have a chance to win the MVP, no matter who you are, you will go and fight for it. First of all, I never thought I could be in this position. Secondly, when I entered the league, I just thought maybe I had a chance to be a good defensive player. I never thought I could be so good on the offensive end."
In the 2022-23 season, Embiid averaged 33.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1 steal and 1.7 blocks, and won the regular season MVP.
