The Italian media chiamarsibomber quoted the famous reporter Moreto as saying that AC Milan is not currently considering signing back old general Thiago Silva.

Recent rumors published by La Repubblica have reignited the enthusiasm of Milan fans. The report stated that Thiago Silva, the 41-year-old Brazilian defender currently playing for Fluminense, may return to Milan in the winter transfer window. This fascinating hypothesis stems from the deep emotional bond between the players and the Rossoneri, but according to industry insiders, it is very difficult to realize.

Thiago Silva, 41, is still an indelible symbol in the memory of Milan fans. While wearing the red and black jersey, he left a mark of technique and character that is difficult to replicate: he played 119 times in total, scored 6 goals and provided 2 assists. More importantly, he won the Serie A championship and the Italian Super Cup with Massimiliano Allegri in 2011.

In the summer of 2012, he bid farewell to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, marking a complicated period for the club. Since then, the Brazilian star has continued to shine: first with Paris Saint-Germain for eight seasons, then moving to Chelsea and winning the Champions League, and finally returning to his parent club Fluminense.

Rumors about his return to Milan inevitably triggered discussions and expectations. Despite his advanced age, Thiago Silva is still regarded as one of the most reliable centre-backs in the world, a man who can bring order, experience and leadership to any defence. Because of this, some people speculate that Milan, which is looking for a defender to complete the defense for the second half of the season, may consider using him as an immediate supplement.

However, transfer market expert and industry authority Matteo Moreto poured cold water on this enthusiasm. In a video posted on Romano's YouTube channel, Moreto, who was a guest, made it clear: "Everyone knows about his past and his friendship with Milan. But the Rossoneri are not currently considering his return."

This clear position is based on two decisive factors: the defender's contract that is valid until June 2026, and Fluminense's firm will not to let go of its leader in the January transfer window.

In other words, Thiago Silva's return to Milan is currently not within the club's plan, and considering his contract with the Brazilian team, it is also extremely complicated to operate. The goodwill still lives on in the hearts of fans, but the Brazilian veteran's future - at least in the short term - looks set to remain in Brazil.
