Odom will start Youth Sports Academy, hoping to help local children stay away from dangerous problems

Recently, former NBA player Lamar Odom said he will start a Youth Sports Academy in Killeen, Texas.

The academy, called "Lamar Odom Academy", will focus on basketball and esports, aiming to help children interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. In addition, he plans to shoot a show in Killeen.

Odom said he hopes the academy will be a way to keep children off the streets and said there are problems with substance abuse and homelessness in the community. He also admitted to the struggles he had experienced after the 2015 overdose incident.

"I have missed a lot in my life," Odom said. “So, after all this, why not start giving back to the community from the city of Killeen?

“I just want to try my best to meet the needs here…I love people. The grandmother who raised me was 57 years older than me. So I have accumulated some life wisdom and hope to pass it on to young people in this city. ”

In 2015, Odom held a party for three days, and during which he took a lot of banned drugs, he eventually fainted in the VIP room and was later sent to the hospital for emergency treatment, and his life was in danger.
