Bayern official: We have protested to UEFA in response to the temporary restriction order issued by the Paris police on the fans bus

Bayern will play a Champions League match against Paris on Tuesday night in an away game. Due to the temporary travel restriction order issued by the Paris police against Bayern fans, Bayern officials expressed dissatisfaction and lodged a protest with UEFA.

Bayern officials stated that on Monday afternoon, the Paris police issued an emergency general administrative order for the Champions League match between Bayern and Paris to be held at the Parc des Princes, aiming to regulate the arrival of fans and establish an area where police measures will be taken.

Bayern was not informed of this unexpected measure until Monday. The club immediately protested at the UEFA meeting on the same day and will take further legal action. Paris Saint-Germain supports Bayern on the matter.

This general executive order covers all fan buses and stipulates that they must gather at a toll booth in front of the city before the game. Additionally, it states that all other Bayern fans should only use public transport to get to the stadium. After the game, everyone must return to their original vehicle and the bus will then be escorted out of the city by police.

Bayern emphasized that the haste of this executive order is particularly unacceptable for Bayern because, like all other Bayern games, all key information for this game has been transparently disclosed weeks ago.

In addition, the risk profile for Bayern fans has not changed since the last time the two sides met in Paris in 2023. Now due to this emergency regulation, Bayern's fan bus is not expected to leave Paris until around 5 a.m. for its return journey.
