Return to Serie A! Official: Former AC Milan and Riyadh Victory coach Pioli coaches Fiorentina

Serie A team Fiorentina officially announced that 59-year-old Italian coach Pioli will serve as the team's head coach and will sign the contract until 2028.

Fiorentina announced that the new head coach of the Purple Lily is Stefano Pioli.

Pioli wore the Fiorentine purple jersey as a player from 1989 to 1995, and served as the team head coach from 2017 to 2019. He has signed a contract to bind the club to June 30, 2028.

In May this year, Fiorentina terminated its contract with coach Paladino. Paladino led the team for less than a year and led the team to sixth in Serie A last year.

In September 2024, Pioli served as the head coach of Riyadh's victory. In the just-concluded season, Riyadh's victory ranked third in Saudi Arabia United, and was postponed to qualify for the second in the AFC Champions League next season. The team lost to Kawasaki forward in the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League.

On June 25, Riyadh announced his termination of the contract with Pioli.
